Happy Feast Day!
Today, September 14th, is the Feast of the Exultation of the Holy Cross, our parish namesake and patronal feast.
The Congregation of Holy Cross (priests, brothers, and sisters) celebrates it's patronal feast day tomorrow, September 15th, Our Lady of Sorrows. It was fun to have a parish party this past weekend in anticipation of our feast day. If we had a parish school I could have caused havoc with the principal and teachers and given the day off. Brownie points with the kids but demerits otherwise. Treat yourself today celebrating our 55 years of being a parish!
Remember to comment back to me if you have a name(s) for filling vacant seats on the Parish Council
(one teen, preferably a junior, and two adults). This advisory council to the pastor and parish staff is instrumental in providing representative feedback and generating ideas for the ongoing pastoral planning and visioning for the Holy Cross Parish.
Please check with your nominee first and then reply to this message and add their name in the private comment section that only I will see. Our first meeting is next Tuesday, September 21st.
Register for Faith Formation classes
that begin Sunday, September 26th.
